A fisherman was washed off the rocks at Dassie Point in front of our house this morning in stormy weather. NSRI sent a helicopter and boat. The helicopter lowered someone into the water, but was unable to uplift the victim and the rescuer on the cable was taken to shore. A rescue boat arrived and successfully pulled the victim from the water.
